Courage

It takes a lot of courage to be open to growth and being uncomfortable. When we are studying something we have never ever done, we as pianist/students, have to allow ourselves to love who we are right now and then let it go. When we do this something miraculous happens. We expose a deep part of us for everyone to hear. Music is not silent. Music is a language with a bunch of dots on a piece of paper. We express ourselves through the music and the piano, and then our sound is created. That takes a lot of courage!!
